Forest School

At our school, we are proud to offer Forest School as a unique and enriching part of our curriculum. Led by both external providers (Kanga) and our our own trained teachers, Forest School takes learning beyond the classroom and into the natural environment, where children can develop confidence, creativity and a deeper connection with the outdoors. Taking place during the school day, this hands-on approach encourages exploration, problem-solving and teamwork through a wide range of outdoor activities.

Each term, a different class has the opportunity to take part in Forest School in place of their regular PE lessons, ensuring that all pupils get a chance to benefit from this valuable experience throughout their time at school. Whether it's building shelters, exploring wildlife, or learning about nature through play, Forest School nurtures curiosity and resilience in a way that complements traditional classroom learning.

We believe that outdoor education plays a vital role in a child’s development and Forest School is a fantastic way to support physical, emotional, and social growth in a fun and memorable setting.
