Music 

In addition to high quality whole class music lessons, children at St Stephen's have many additional opportunities to develop musical skills. 

They can have instrumental lessons in accordion currently. These are provided by professional  music teachers. The children can work towards graded exams as part of their lessons.

Each year, the children in our school choir attend  Skipton Musical Festival. This is a very exciting even where the children perform, alongside choir members with many other schools, for a large audience.  This is an amazing local event which the children look forward to all year! 

At St Stephen's, we like to put our faith into action. As part of this, we use music in our worship and enjoy going out in to the community to sing for our parishioners and other community groups. We also sing at Skipton Castle as part of the festive preparations in December. Each class in school also performs during the year to present the Christmas and Easter Stories, and at end of year shows.
